This policy describes what information The Fan Menu collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. This platform is intended for use in the United States only.
Information We Collect
For organization administrators: we collect the email address and name associated with your sign-in account (via Clerk authentication). We also store the organization name, slug, menu content, and settings you configure. For menu viewers (patrons): we do not collect any personal information. No account is required to view a menu.
How We Use Your Information
Administrator information is used solely to authenticate you, associate you with your organization, and provide the admin features of this platform. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Analytics
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. Umami does not collect personal data and does not use cookies. It tracks anonymous page view statistics such as the number of times a menu page was visited. No personal information is collected through analytics.
Authentication
Sign-in and account management is handled by Clerk. Clerk may collect additional information as described in their own privacy policy. We do not store passwords.
Data Storage
Organization and menu data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. Organization logos are stored in Supabase Storage. All data is stored in the United States.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. We use the third-party services described above (Clerk, Supabase, Umami) solely to operate the platform.
Data Retention
Organization data and menu content is retained for as long as your organization is active on the platform. If an organization is deactivated, its data is preserved but inaccessible until reactivated. We do not currently offer self-service data deletion — contact us if you wish to have your data removed.
Children
This service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Menu viewers are not asked for any personal information.
